Sous Chef for Country House Hotel near London with live-in accommodation, £30,000

Sous Chef required for a well known Country House Hotel in London with live-in accommodation.

This all fresh 45 bedroom Hotel are looking for a calm and collected team of 7. 

You will be working closely with the Head Chef who has held this position for over 15 years, you will need to have experience as a Sous Chef, preferably in a 2 rosette environment, to be able to support Head Chef and run the kitchen on his days off. 

You will be using all fresh local produce to create stunning dishes for the 50 seat A La Carte restaurant and catering for banqueting up to 130 sit down. 

As Sous Chef you will be responsible for looking after all Junior Chefs & assisting with the day to day running of the kitchen, giving you a great chance to develop the leadership tendencies you need to advance your catering career. You’ll take great pride in helping to create tasty dishes, and you’ll relish the chance to learn about new ingredients, cooking techniques and putting your ideas into our dishes.

What we need from you
To be from an all fresh or preferably 2 rosette background.
You will have passion for detail and presentation with an extensive knowledge of seasonal produce and cooking techniques.
You must be calm and well mannered with excellent communication skills and thrive under pressure. 
To work closely with the Head Chef to create menus, costing and ordering of produce.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Be able to prepare quality dishes with only the finest locally sourced produce.
Be able to maintain a high and professional service.
Have good motivational skills and team management.
Adhere to strict hygiene control throughout the kitchen.

Salary £30,000, Live in accommodation available on site.
