Sous Chef required for a stunning 4* 2 Rosette Hotel in East Sussex
Our client is looking for a passionate and self motivated Sous Chef to join this quality establishment
The hotel has 40 bedrooms, 90 cover restaurant and banqueting facilities for up 200. You working in a kitchen brigade of 6 creating exquisite food to a 2 rosette standard.
Duties of the job
Motivate and train the Junior Chefs.
Maintain high standard of health and hygiene in the kitchen.
Work well within the team and share your ideas.
Ensure stock levels are efficient for the restaurant and all preparation have been completed in time for the day’s service.
Set and comply with standards of preparation and cooking techniques and methods of serving food items.
Communicate with managers, the reception team and waiting staff ordered.
Pay attention to detail at all times.
What we need from you
To be able to support the Head Chef.
To be from a 2 rosette background or equivalent.
To take control of the kitchen in the Head Chef absence.
Encouraging and managing the Junior Chefs.
Ability to work unsupervised and have strong management skills.
Highly motivated and focused.
Positive can do attitude.
Input into menu creation and development.
Adhere to strict health and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
Steady career history.
To have your own whites and knives.
Salary up to £27,000, Live in accommodation is available
